  • BioAccess - where can I find out more about it?

So far I have been cancelling out of setting up Bioexcess every time it pops up (every reboot). Before I decide whether I want to use this or not I would like to learn more about it but can't really find any information. I assume it's a fingerprint reader and can be used instead of a password for login. I am hesitant to set it up in case it's difficult to turn back off. Is it for anything else? Why should I use it? Or why should I not use it? No idea how reliable this technology is or maybe it's just solving a problem I don't have. Any thoughts from people who have used it or know about it?

Moved to The Ask Around as this has little to do with Origin.
Bioexcess is supposed to be a download manager from Egis, nothing to do with fingerprints or such. It's possible you have some adware in your system so I suggest running tools such as MalwareBytes Free and AdwCleaner, also by MalwareBytes.https://www.malwarebytes.com/

Further reading in a Google Search tells me that it is fingerprint reader software, but I can't find any support. I would imagine support from the computer maker is the first resort.
If this is on your Origin machine then ask them directly: https://www.originpc.com/support/

If you spell it Bio-Access then I see their support is here: http://bioaccessbd.com/support

I altered your header's spelling for clarity.
This is biometric recognition software and only works if you have a fingerprint reader connected on your machine.. Technical Support is your best option as I suggested earlier.
