  • Millennium System 5-bay Cage Fan

    Hello everyone,

I just purchased a millennium system and received it last week! (specs below) I absolutely love this rig so far, everything looks and runs perfect. I do have one question and hopefully someone has had experience with this.

The fan on the 5-bay hot swap cage is very loud and will kick on randomlly even when the system is idling and running cool. This has been very annoying and I was wondering if there is a way to modify this? I noticed jumpers on the unit that say 55c, 60c, and 65c. It is currently on 55c, moving it to 60c and 65c did not change the fans behavior at all. Also, I only have one 2TB WD Black HDD in the hot swap cage being used for extra storage. Nothing is currently being stored on the drive and it doesn't seem to be running hot (see below).

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

The fan on the hotswap cage is temperature controlled, if the internal temperature of the system exceeds the threshold of the pin setting the fan will kick in. If the fan is kicking in it may be a bad sensor on the cage. I would suggest calling in for our support team to help diagnose it and if needed setup a replacement.
